It's a dog's life
The dog, Bobby Mclaughlin, has been nominated for the Dog's Trust Honours Quality of Life Award.
Bobby, a rescue Collie cross, aged 12, has been put forward for completing his duties so eagerly and bringing endless happiness to residents. Bobby is particularly helpful for residents who find it difficult to communicate, and spends many hours visiting residents in their rooms.
As a successful squirrel-scarer, Bobby also helps keep bird-feeders free of small intruders. Bobby's special trick to entertain residents is to take water to his feeding bowl in his mouth so he can lick it clean.
